Why are some of the folks at Coeburn complaining about their coach If they are not trying to run him off??? I think all towns have a lil complaint about their coach sometimes...

I don't care how long he stays and coaches..We ...as far as I know are not trying to get rid of coach Crabtree..It Is all a rumor..NOT TRUE at all!

All I said Is some kids are thinking about transferring...

Coaches, good or bad, can only do so much good or damage. At some point, the blame has to fall on the kids. IMO, a good coach is only worth a few wins a season at best. Let's say, for arguments sake, it is Crabtree's fault at Pound. How many more games would Pound REALLY win this season with a good coach? At best, they'll finish 2-8 this season. A new coach makes them what? 3-7? 4-6 at best? Would that garner a parade in Pound?

yes as far as i know he did not show up for practice and he is no longer in school, guess he jsut wanted to play against pv and that was it!

That's a damn shame. If this is true, can't say he was given multiple opportunities to succeed.

You could thank him for the last football team the Lb had with a winning record as well..(6-4 in 2005). 6-4 doesn't sound too awfully bad now days does it?

When the debate over eligibility was going on, everyone was whining for a 2nd chance...while others shed light on his character. If this is the case, JIB saw first hand what folks were talking about. A coach makes room for and defends him, he takes carries and playing time from kids that were already there before he arrived in one of their highest profile games...and then bolts. Not saying that did happen, but if it did..it might as well been expected. That's a slap in the face of Wise County Schools, Norton City Schools, Coach Adams, Phil Robbins, and players from both teams. When a student is punished, he shouldn't be provided an out IMO.

really? what has he ever done? a lot of hype, not much in the way of accomplishments.......
